Swiss watchmaker FC LS BARBEZAT introduces a pocket watch featuring a Duoplex mechanism and minute repeater, powered by Louis-Élysée Piguet's "Ebauche."
Louis-Élysée Piguet (1836-1924) was a 19th-century genius watchmaker, renowned for supplying high-end movements to luxury watch manufacturers such as Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe.
The Duoplex escapement in this timepiece operates with a distinctive single beat, similar to a chronometer escapement, producing a characteristic ticking sound reminiscent of "ja, ja, ja."
The minute repeater can be activated at any time by sliding, allowing for a clear demonstration of its charming chime.
The stainless steel components are meticulously finished with a mirror polish, featuring a Breguet-style hairspring on a bimetallic cut balance. All screws on the balance wheel are made of gold.
The movement, enamel dial, and 18K gold case (total weight 75 grams) are in perfect condition both internally and externally.
